Buy a customised men’s jacket from etsy
I posted this image of a jacket up some time ago and have had heaps of questions about where I got it. Alas, I don’t know! I found it on a random image search. However I did a bit of research for you on etsy to see who could possibly make a jacket custom fit for you in the style you want. And while I was at it, found a pretty hip mens jacket designer.
Wendelart have let me know that they can produce something similar to the Assassin jacket for $550USD through Etsy. I haven’t bought from them but their etsy feedback is good and their shop is worth a browse for steampunk and subtly goth jackets.

Pretty pvc dresses
It’s rare that I even find a PVC designer I like. I always think of it as that uncomfortable fabric that sits badly and aspires to sexy while only achieving plastic-ey. I should have known that modern alternative designers would find a way to make it work. It reminds me that gothic culture has moved a long way from ‘girls in graveyards’ and incorporated strong vintage and Lolita influences to be much more feminine than wannabe sexy.
I haven’t tried their clothes on so can’t vouch for quality, but I love how this label mixes PVC with other dress fabrics to make the most of the shininess without suffering from the drawbacks of the fabric. (Like its heaviness, stiffness, and ultimately lack of femininity.) Good show, I say.

A little steampunk with your socks?
I just love this shot of steampunk making the most of miniskirts and socks.
Check out these sockdreams socks that could be used for a similar look. They look so cosy for winter.
Don’t forget we have a WIN SOCKS competition on for the next two weeks, and discounts for readers at Sockdreams.com.

Latex accessories you can buy online

Collective Chaos: Etsy seller that specialises in latex collars with feathers. Did I mention that I have a thing for neck ruffs?

nyom mittens by HMS latex. Latex accessories go very well with Melissa shoes, I might add. Click for link to site
Thanks reader Jodie for pointing out this shiiiiny etsy latex seller to me. Some gorgeously classy cuts and if photography is any indication, looks like pretty good quality.
Oh yeah, their site is a time sink. Of note are flattering cuts for pear shapes – cowl necks, cuts under the breast to add shape, backless cuts and plunging necklines. Plunging neckline aren’t traditionally generally considered flattering because they can flatten breasts out, but I think I have better ‘centre cleavage’ than ‘top cleavage’ so I think it really depends on individual body quirks.
But all over latex isn’t for every person or every occasiona, and I’m finding I get more use out of my mittens and accessories than anything else. I think I could get some serious wear out of this for instance…
Okay fine, it’s totally impractical. But soooo pretty.
Here are more latex accessories I hustled up.
